October

Fall. Falling avalanche of leaves that bring life to us all.

Today was the long-awaited and long-anticipated first day of October. While it may not be the true first day of fall according to the calendar, it will always be the day that I first notice the traces of colors in the leaves and the way the sun paints the world golden at certain points of the day. Just sniffing the autumn fragrance brings out the child in me; the one that laughs and plays and is seeing everything in the world as if for the first time. October is a month for fun, laughter, exploring, and appreciating life.

I woke up this morning and started noticing the world for the first time in a month. The sickness is gone at last and I have finally demolished the mountain of homework of which I thought I’d never see the end. The world is so beautiful right now I find that all I can do is walk around with a big goofy grin on my face. I have energy now and a spring in my step. Positive energy seems to be pulling people towards me as if I was a magnet. There isn’t anything right now that isn’t going my way.
